Pawnee Pizazz

1980 Buckskin AQHA Mare

We lost Honey in the spring of 2005. She had a blown knee and her entire leg bowed out pretty badly. That last winter and spring was hard on her, she just could not hold her weight, regardless of what we fed her. We also suspected a stroke that she had (and survived) while nursing her last foal in 2004.
She was one of the best mares we'll ever have. And easy mare to be around, extremely sweet disposition, consistantly produced fantastic foals, and will always hold a place in our heart. We are happy to have Honey's last daughter (PQH Pawnees Mocha) and a granddaughter (PQH Pawnees Charm) sired by Honey's last foal (Pawnees Thunder, full brother to PQH Pawnees Mocha) in the herd to carry on Honey's legacy.

Honeys Hobo Jac

2006 Sorrel AQHA Gelding

We lost Hobo in the spring of 2007. He had numerous health issues from the time he was born until the day we lost him. He was orphaned at less than a day old, suffered from ulcers (which we treated), his knees bowed out (which we had casted, and it had made no difference), and he was smaller and lacked muscle other horses his age were and had.
Hobo was an adorable colt and we really miss him. He was a character....just like an oversized puppy. Everybody fell in love with Hobo the minute they seen him.

Jacs Number One

1987 Buckskin/Dun AQHA Mare

We lost Jacsy in the fall of 2008. Jacsy was a retired reining horse and broodmare. She had arthritis pretty severely in her hind leg, and was getting more and more stiff in her front legs as well. She had little to no flexion left in her legs, and when she layed down, she needed assistance getting back up. One day she went down, and we could not get her back up. She was down for several hours, and gave no attempt to try and get up.
We only had Jacsy for a little over a year (we adopted her from a rescue and rehab facility), but Jacsy will always hold a place in our hearts. She truely loved to be rubbed and scratched on more than any horse we have ever met. She was a sweet mare and was a joy to be around.
