Temps are back up to the high 30's and low 40's during the day...for now. Such an odd winter! Some days feel like winter, some feel more like spring.
Emily and Lacey (both in-foal to NCHA money earner, Holidoc) are doing great, and we've felt both girls' foals moving/kicking in there. :) Emily is carrying her foal up pretty high...Lacey however is pretty noticably round. Emily will reach her safe date of 320 days in about 6 weeks, and Lacey will reach her safe date of 320 days in about 12 weeks. We are really looking forward to both foals! If you haven't already, visit ou Facebook Contest Page...we will not accept any guesses after February, so make your guess now for a chance to win a prize! :) Click here!
PQH Customeyes ("Gracie") has been sold and will be leaving for her new home soon. Congratulations to her new owners Laura and Brian!! We wish you the best of luck with Gracie, she's an awesome filly, we know you are going to just love her!

Winter is here! We were very fortunate to have a pretty mild winter thus far, but in came in with a bang this past week with temps taking a dive into the single digits and below zero! Although we still have minimal snow.
Sierra made it to her new home safe and sound this past week. Another Congratulations to Donna in Kentucky, we wish you many happy years with Sierra...she's a great young mare!
Now that PQH Jacs Quixote (Squirt) has been in training for a little over a month, we are offering him for sale. We bought Squirt back because the people we sold him to needed to sell and we wanted to make sure he was broke to ride and then sold to a good home. So, if you are looking for a super cute and friendly little riding gelding, with a great pedigree...take a peek at Squirt. He's been in training with Janssen Performance Horses since mid-December 2011, and in addition to his basic arena riding, he is being used as a turnback horse while the cutters practice. He has a personality to die for, very sweet and kind young gelding! Easy to handle and be around. Had alot of groundwork done while we had him from birth to a 2 year old, and he hasnt forgotten anything, very easy to handle with great ground manners. Has a great start under saddle, will make somebody a superb riding partner. Please contact us for more info and pricing.

Happy New Year to all!
We ended 2011 with a great visit to Janssen Performance Horses to watch the 2 boys (our coming 3 yr old stallion, Ace Olena, and coming 5 yr old gelding, PQH Jacs Quixote) under saddle. Ace is coming along so nicely with his cutting training! And although Squirt has only been with JPH for a few weeks, he's looking wonderful under saddle too, going solid with his basic riding, and is being used as a turnback horse for the cutters while they are practicing too.
PQH Sierra is sold! Congratulations to Donna in Kentucky!!
We have decided to offer 2010 Bay Filly, PQH Customeyes (Gracie) for sale. We would have liked to keep her, but ultimately with 2 horses currently in training, and another one leaving for training in another month or two, we just cannot afford to put her through training and be finished out to be shown as well. She is a really nice filly, built wonderfully, and has a puppy dog of a personality, just truely loves people and attention. She is priced at a steal for $1500! We want her to go to a great home where she will be used and loved. She should make a great riding horse, as well as potential broodmare, she is a daughter of NRHA money earner and producer, Custom Tuxedo (son of Custom Crome- $106,000+ NRHA, out of a NRHA money earning Topsail Cody daughter), and her dam, Zan Eyed Xena, is a granddaughter of AQHA Champion, Rhinestone Jack, and goes back to Two Eyed Jack and Zan Parr Bar, nice foundation working lines.
We are very excited for 2012, we have some great things to look forward to....Ace will hit the show pen this year with trainer Bob Janssen, we have 2 Holidoc foals due right around the corner- first is due early April and the second is due mid May, and we have the mares booked to some phenomenal proven reining and cutting stallions (Holidoc, Einsteins Revolution, Dun Gotta Gun, and Dun It Ok).
We look forward to what 2012 brings for us! And we wish all of you a wonderful year filled with excitement and joy!

We hope everybody had a very Happy Thanksgiving!
One of our "old" horses will be coming back! PQH Jacs Quixote ("Squirt"), 2007 Bay AQHA Gelding...sired by Holidoc ($93,000+ NCHA LTE) and out of our mare Jacs Tin Lizzy. We bred, foaled out, and raised Squirt and then sold him the summer of his 2 yr old year. We are purchasing him back and will continue his training. He had 30 days of training put on him as a 3 year old, but hasn't been ridden since by no fault of his own. He will enter training full time in December...check back for updates!

Happy Halloween!
Lacey (bred to Holidoc, due May 2012) are both looking great! Emily is just over the180 day mark and has started showing a bit, getting little rounder through the belly. Lacey is at 140 days and seemed to plump out overnight as soon as she was bred, definately takes after her mother (Lizzy) and is taking pregnancy to heart. We can't wait for the girls to foal, both are 1st time moms, and we of course will be happy to have some more Holidoc kids around in the spring!
We're already thinking about 2012 breedings, and have some great stallions in the line up for the ladies here at PQH for next year- stallions include: Holidoc, Dun Gotta Gun, Einsteins Revolution, and Dun It Ok. Maybe one more. Check out the mares' pages to see what we are planning for each. Keep checking back through next spring/summer as the girls are bred and confirmed in-foal.

Had a nice cool sunny, although windy, day today to go visit Ace at the trainers. New pictures and video were taken, please visit his webpage and/or facebook page to view the pics and links to the videos.

We received new photos of Holidoc from his owners, taken on July 11, 2011. How is this for a 28 year old stallion?! :-)
We have had several kids by Holidoc. In 2007 we bred, raised, and sold 2 sons of Holidoc- bay gelding, PQH Jacs Quixote and dun gelding, PQH Holidocs Image. In 2008 we bought a yearling son of Holidoc, our late grulla stallion, PQH Pretty Boy. In 2010 we had a grulla filly by Holidoc, PQH Holiwood Layla (who we are keeping). And we are expecting 2 Holidoc foals in 2012.
*Note: All photos of Holidoc are copyrighted, and are owned by Bill and Linda Childs. If you would like to use, copy, save, etc. these photos you must contact Bill and Linda Childs for permission.

We are expecting 2 foals in 2012, both sired by Holidoc, and out of our mares Emily (Mainly Miss Emily) and Lacey (Peponitas Black Lace). Both are maiden mares, we can hardly wait to see what they produce! Emily is "due" early April 2012 and Lacey is "due" mid May 2012.
"Due" being used for day 340 (average of averages)...they can go safely as early as 320 days, or later than the 340 day mark. Being maidens we have no previous foaling dates to base their due date off of, so start checking mid-late March for updates on the first foal due!

Marilyn is home from the trainer (with reining trainer, Sarah Mackay). We took some more video the day before she came home to show what she is doing under saddle. Seems like YouTube doesn't want to load any videos for us until Sundays, so check back Sunday night for many more videos of Marilyn under saddle.
(Update: Videos are now up, scroll down below her pedigree to view all pictures and videos Click here)
Ace continues to do wonderfully at the trainer (with cutting trainer, Bob Janssen and assistant Sam Utz). He is entering his 3rd month and has been started on cattle. Also, his first pro photos will be taken this month, be sure to check back for them!
