Marilyn is a beautiful palomino mare, with a lot of chrome. She has really nice conformation, is built very nicely, and has a loving personality. Marilyn stands 14.2 hh.

She is beautifully put together. She is smart, athletic, and a quick mover. Beautiful head, kind eyes, nice shoulder, long round hip, and a nice solid body. Very lovable and easy to please personality.

Marilyn has great ground manners- easy to catch and lead, picks up her hooves and stands nicely for the farrier, stands tied (single and cross tie), lunges (on and off a line), loads and unloads, has been bathed, fly sprayed, clipped and wears a fly mask.

Marilyn completed 2 months under saddle with reining trainer, Sarah Mackay, in May and June 2011. She stands quietly to be tacked up, and is going great under saddle- walk, trot, lope, whoa, back, and started learning to sidepass and pivot. She's a very sensible and athletic mare! She has never offered to buck, rear, etc. She is not a hot horse, but she does have a lot of "go" to her.

Marilyn's sire, Mainly Marty, is a finished reiner by Tim McQuay. He has no earnings as his show career was cut short due to foundering. He is a son of Jacs Little Pine ($35,000+ NRHA, AQHA ROM, AQHA Top 5 Reining), and out of Mainly Martha ($21,300+ NRHA, 1984 AQHA Open Reserve World Champion Jr Reining, AQHA ROM). Marilyn's dam, Mays Miss Gotya, is originally off of a ranch in Wyoming; and goes back to nice solid working lines.
