Mr Ed
Mr Ed is for sale- $1300 (firm) We plan on weaning August 26. Ed would be ready for a new home as early as 14-16 days after weaning. If not sold by mid September, he will be gelded. Ed had contracted tendons when he was born (BG went way over due date). We waited a week to see if they would stretch and we were not happy with the one leg so we wasted no time and decided to cast him. The casts were on for 7 days and boy does he look great. He is sound and loves to run and play 'cutting horse' along the paneled fence. He really is a nice colt! Please note Mr Ed is not on any grain, he is only on hay and his momma; and he is built like a Hummer! Mr Ed is halter and lead broke, he wears a fly mask and has been fly sprayed. Mr Ed has been stalled and pastured. Mr Ed loves small children and adults alike. I am really wanting to sell him to a performance home (sire and dam have no performance record)- he has the moves of a true cutting horse. He'd make a great sire or if you chose to geld he'd make a nice gelding too. He is very calm and respectful. He is so correct, if we were set up for a stud we would keep him; but with our lack of inexperience we would not do him justice. Really a great colt for $1300! Ed had his hooves rasped for the first time on August 16th and he stood awesome for it! Mr Ed's sire is 99% foundation and his dam is 73% foundation, putting Ed's foundation percentage at86% FQHA (Not yet registered through FQHA)Photos below were taken on 8-11-06 (Margaret [10 yrs old] brushing and hugging Mr Ed) |
