Jacs Number One
Jacs is a very pretty mare. She stands 15.1 hands high. She has a superb pedigree- she's an own daughter of Jacs Little Pine (Hollywood Jac 86 x Miss Doll Pine) and is out of a daughter of Gray Van Kan (Levandy x Kansas Starlette). Not only does her pedigree scream performance and ability...she is a retired reining horse- she has earned 2.5 AQHA Performance Points, 15 IBHA Points, and $1.78 in the NRHA.
Jacs has arthritis in her front and hind left legs. She walks with a gimp in the back leg....but roams around the pasture just fine. We adopted Jacs from a rescue/rehab place in July 2007. She moved in on the thin side, but she looks fabulous now! She's fed Equine Senior, Rice Bran, an arthritis supplement, and quality grass hay.
Jacs has a beautiful head and a very kind eye. She is a very loving mare and adores attention. Jacs is also a great babysitter for the young horses.
Jacs is registered as a buckskin, but she has a dorsal stripe and leg barrings. So we believe that she is a dun with a cream gene. Her previous foals back up that belief...as she had always been bred to bay stallions and produced foals with a cream gene and a dun gene.
We would like to thank Helping Hands Equine Rehab and Rescue for giving us the opportunity to adopt such a wonderful old gal. We feel we will have a piece of history on our property.
